Getting To Know Savannah
Savannah is one of only a few Southern cities that continues to hold most of it's original heritage, charm and especially the down home Southern hospitality of it's citizens. New citizens are soon to learn that it's not unusual to pass through any given neighborhood and see neighbors chatting with each other over a fence or just hanging out in the back yard together. Don't be surprised if someone you meet says "Hi" in passing or if they are elderly, a simple nod of acknowledgement. It's considered common courtesy here to do so.
Savannah is one of the larger Southern Cities that has a small town feel to it. Most of the shopping facilities are nearby and as an added plus, you don't have long lines to cause extra waiting. Savannah is still a city filled with "Yesteryear's Charm" and quite a few unique surprises that I will let you discover for yourself. Savannah is enjoying a period of growth as several giants in the industrial sector are considering it as a promising city in which to operate their businesses. Savannah has had the good fortune to have most of it's natives and if they leave, they eventually return sooner or later. They just miss being here, period. Young or Elderly, Savannah has a great deal to offer and it's future is shining brightly.
So, as you begin to settle in and get to know the city, you will find that you have finally made it home. Relax; welcome to the City of Savannah, it's going to be great!
